Ryan Walker is a composer based in Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota. He received his Bachelor of Music Composition degree and Certification in Music Technology from the University of Texas at San Antonio (2009-10), and his Master of Music degree from Texas State University (2012).

Walker has taught music theory, both as a private tutor at UTSA and in a classroom setting at St. Philip’s College and Texas State. In 2009, he received the Reed Holmes Composition Award, as well as the National Federation of Music Clubs Award in Choral Music for Movements I-III of De Rerum Natura: On the Nature of the Universe.

His influences include post-minimalism (John Adams, Max Richter), neo-classicism (Paul Hindemith, Igor Stravinsky), and soundtracks for games, film, and television (Hitoshi Sakimoto, Hans Zimmer, Dennis McCarthy).
